CheckPixel

PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated October 13, 2026

CheckPixel is a chess game for iPhone made by Gabriel Rigon ("we"), who is responsible for the personal information described here. This policy covers the app, the website checkpixel.gbrlrg.com.br and our support email. In short: the app has no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and we don't run any server that receives your game data. A few things do involve Apple, our website host or email, and they are explained below.

What the app keeps on your iPhone

To remember your choices, the app stores on your device: sound, haptics, Reduce Motion and colorblind settings, cutscene mode, the options of your last match (opponent, side and clock), and your learning progress (lesson stars, bosses beaten, puzzle rating, recently played puzzles and daily-puzzle streak). We never receive this information. Like other app data, it may be included in your iPhone backups (iCloud or computer) depending on your settings. Deleting the app removes it from the device, but not from backups you already made.

What we collect through the app

Nothing. CheckPixel has no accounts, no analytics or advertising SDKs, and no tracking. Games, lessons and the included puzzles work offline.

Apple services the app uses

Game Center. When the app opens, it asks Game Center to sign you in, and Apple may show a sign-in screen. If you are signed in, the app can show your Game Center name and profile on your device. This is handled by Apple; we do not receive it on any server.

In-app purchase. The optional Full Path is a one-time purchase processed by Apple. On your device, the app checks Apple's signed confirmation that you own it (product and transaction status). We never see your payment details. Buying and restoring need an internet connection. Restoring the purchase does not restore lesson progress, which lives only on your device.

Diagnostics. If you chose to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may give us crash reports and usage statistics. These include technical details such as device model, iOS version and the state of the app when it crashed. We use them only to fix bugs.

Apple's handling of this information is described in the Apple Privacy Policy.

The website

This website is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver and protect it, Cloudflare processes technical data for each visit, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. The site uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts or fonts. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Support email

If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you send (for example screenshots). Mail to our address is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to a Microsoft Outlook mailbox. We use it only to answer you and keep it for up to 12 months after our last reply, unless we need it longer to resolve a dispute. Please don't send passwords, payment details or other sensitive information, and check screenshots for personal details before sending.

Who else processes data

Apple (app services), Cloudflare (website and email forwarding) and Microsoft (email mailbox) act as service providers or independent services. They may process data in the United States or other countries. We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.

Children

The app doesn't ask for anyone's age or identity. If a child contacts us by email, a parent or guardian can ask us to delete that correspondence.

Your rights

United States. We don't sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can ask what we hold about you (in practice, support emails) and ask us to delete it.

Canada. You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold, ask questions or make a complaint by writing to us. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your provincial authority. We answer access requests within 30 days.

Brazil. Users in Brazil have the rights of the LGPD (Law 13.709/2018). See the Portuguese version of this policy for details.

Security

The website and email links use encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), and access to the support mailbox is restricted to us. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep as little data as possible.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. If the app ever starts collecting data, we will say so here before that version is released.
